Ways of making are meaningful.
Thinking about art making, the link with ritual and using what is at hand, I started to look around my local shops, gathering cardboard packaging - stuff that circulates in a world of commodities - and testing it, its play and resistance. The work is about a meeting of material and abstraction; how things become imbued with a cultural or spiritual charge; how the body integrates and becomes object; adornment, votives and absorption.
